Protected Grasslands at Cascade Head

Some of the grasslands at Cascade Head, such as those on this promentory, are off limits to the public.  These grasslands are protected, as are several rare and endangered species of flora and fauna who live here, including the Oregon Silverspot Butterfly and the Cascade Head Catchfly.

    I love this picture. I don’t often see (at least not here in Texas) such vibrant greens against such vivid blues. Kinda makes me want to pack a picnic and go swimming!
