Especially considering the bird's usual habitat and the fact that it stayed around long enough for visitors to see it. People travelled from all over southern England to come and see it. I shall never forget what a formidable site it was to see such a large, powerful bird perched in a tree in the gentle rolling Hampshire countryside - its normal habitat would be the rocky mountainous coastlines of northern Scotland or Scandinavia. We live in Hampshire, England and about 6 months ago a White-Tailed Eagle visited our area for about 5 or 6 weeks. People travelled from all over southern England to come and see it. After 30 years of city living, my wife and I bought a place in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. It took some getting used to, but after 5 years we now want to move to a more isolated place (we live in a rural county: pop. 20,000) We both work from home, so as long as we have an internet connection we're good to go.
