In Brussels I actually did find a nice cafe – a few minutes walk away from the apartment. All these months I had assumed there was nothing nice, clean, and safe-for-a-laptop.

But this was all of these. And there were two people working on laptops. I got a breakfast with a warm croissant, actually good coffee, and fresh squeezed orange juice for 4 Euros.

Christmas time is coming soon, and decorations are popping up here and there around the city. In a city as ugly as Brussels, it’s hard to find good photos. But the truth is, there are a lot of beautiful buildings amongst the filth, and if you put your mind to it, you can get some good shots. I think they are best in black and white.

I found a couple, but I didn’t have a camera with me.
